• Theology with a Twist will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Kutztown Tavern, 272 W. Main St., Kutztown. The Rev. Marian P. Shearer will present “Is God a Boy's Name?” Join Shearer to tackle questions about expanding our names for the divine, the reasoning for inclusive language and her own journey around this topic. Shearer retired from full-time ministry after 25 years of parish ministry and as an associate conference minister in the New York Conference. She graduated from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School in 1977. She enjoys visiting retirees on behalf of the UCC Pension Boards, facilitates a community of practice and is a leader for the Reading-Berks Citizens Climate Lobby. The event is free, but food and drinks can be purchased in the restaurant downstairs and brought up to the event space in the upper room of the tavern. Parking is available in the community lot behind the tavern or on Main Street.
• The Contemplative Spirituality Group will meet on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ, 257 W.
