POTTSTOWN — The 11th annual PowWow at Mantawny Creek will be held Saturday and Sunday, May 3 and May 4, at Riverfront Park, 140 College Drive.
The hours for both days are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The gates open at 10 a.m. with the grand entry at noon each day.
It is a celebration of the heritage and contributions of Native Americans of the region.
Bringing a lawn chair is advised. Dance exhibitions, displays, crafts and food will all be available. Children are welcome and admission is free, although a $5 contribution per person is welcomed.
There will be a special violin performance by Lauren Garret, as well as a presentation by performer and educator Reuben FastHorse.
The head dancers are Matt and Chrisann Clair.
The host drum is Medicine Horse Singers. Guest drums are Grey Cloud Singers, Itchy Dog Singers and Stoney's Boys.
There will be a special performance by the Salinas Family Aztec Dancers.
