WEST READING — Tower Health has announced several promotions it said enhance its leadership team while strengthening operations.
Michael Stern has been named president of Tower Health while continuing to serve as chief operating officer — a position he has held since September 2022. In his new role, Stern will focus on maintaining the momentum of Tower Health's turnaround, emphasizing workforce stability, service expansion, and leadership integration, according to a press release.
“I am honored to transition into this role and look forward to working closely with Sue Perrotty and the rest of our team. Together, we will continue to strengthen our system, focusing on high-quality care and meeting the robust healthcare needs of our community,” Stern said in a statement.

Other key promotions include:
• Rob Ehinger has been appointed associate chief financial officer, enhancing financial management and reporting structures.
• Kristin Kearney is expanding her role from CFO of Tower Health Medical Group to also include CFO of Reading Hospital, aiming to integrate and optimize financial strategies across the organization.
• Chuck Valentino is transitioning to vice president of revenue integrity — and will lead initiatives to ensure the successful integration of new systems while continuing his leadership in enterprise access services.
Perrotty expressed excitement about the promotions, saying it is an exhilarating time at Tower Health.
“Our financial recovery is taking root, and we are witnessing a resurgence of optimism across our system. I am immensely proud of our team's resilience and dedication, which have allowed us to promote several key leaders in recognition of their invaluable contributions,” she added.
