A Berks County man was killed when he became trapped under a skid loader at work in Lebanon County, officials said.
Officials were called to TLS Equipment LLC, 125 Stricklerstown Loop Road, Millcreek Township, at 9:44 a.m. Friday for a report of a man trapped under a skid loader, township police said.
Police identified the victim as Clinton D. Martin, 34, of North Heidelberg Township.
According to police:
Workers found Martin pinned under the skid loader. The skid loader’s engine was turned on and running at the time. Workers used equipment to lift the machine off Martin.
It is believed Martin was working under the elevated arms of the skid loader and a hydraulic line burst, causing the skid loader’s arms to drop and pin him.
Newmanstown Ambulance personnel arrived and evaluated Martin and found no signs of life.
Officials contacted the coroner's office, and a compliance officer from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration also responded.
Martin had worked at the company for more than six years.
