Dozens of children had the chance to get some help buying holiday gifts during Crime Alert Berks County's annual Shop With a Cop program.
The event Thursday at Boscov's North in Muhlenberg Township involved 25 children from elementary and middle schools around the county joined by 35 officers from 18 law-enforcement agencies.
The event is intended as a community service by officers and an opportunity to build positive relationships between young people and those serving in law enforcement.
