This is in response to “A simple question for supporters of Biden” (Reading News, April 16), which asked how supporters of President Joe Biden would feel if Laken Riley were their child. How would former President Donald Trump’s supporters feel if their daughter were sexually accosted by Trump as E. Jean Carroll was.
How about if Brian Sicknick, the Capitol policeman who lost his life due to the Jan. 6, 2021, riot that Trump incited, were one of their loved ones? Hate crimes surged during Trump’s presidency. Do those people count any less? There are no simple questions or answers regarding this political mess the country is in.
